Collection: Lad Musician
Established in 1995 by Japanese designer Yuichi Kuroda, Lad Musician is part of the many Harajuku imprints that emerged out of the 1990s. Boasting a generally dark glam-rock aesthetic, many Lad Musician pieces reference classic punk rock bands such as The Clash, Sex Pistols, Ramones, and the icons surrounding the genre such as Sid Vicious and Malcolm McLaren. During the brand's early years, Yuichi Kuroda mainly produced collections that possessed an oddly unique futuristic aesthetic that stayed true to that ‘90s Harajuku flare while keeping color palettes dark and neutral, for the most part. As the brand developed, Kuroda gradually began to experiment with slimmer cuts and sleeker silhouettes creating more accessible designs, while keeping the brand's core of punk culture in mind.
