Takahiro Miyashita first introduced the infamous School of Visual Comedy pieces for Number (N)ine’s “Time Migration” collection which debuted during its Spring/Summer 2001 season. The iconic skull motif can be seen on an array of garments from hoodies and t-shirts, to hats and necklaces. These pieces quickly caught the eyes of many and soon became a must-have for avid Japanese & Archive fashion lovers.

Here we have a sick trucker hat from Number (N)ine. This piece features the iconic “School of Visual Comedy” motif which is arguably the most recognizable graphic from the Takahiro Miyashita era. The hat itself boasts the standard “Trucker” silhouette with a slightly curved bill, foam frontal, and a breathable mesh accompanied by an adjustable snap closure. This piece is an ode to Takahiro Miyashita – his extensive ideology and unique eye for design blossomed into timeless pieces with rich culture.
