These are the words from the founder of ATTACHMENT, explaining the ideology and meaning of the label's name, expressing how garments are simply an “attachment” to oneself. Born in 1965, Kazuyuki Kumagai has always been around clothing and fashion as a whole. After climbing the ranks for many years, Kumagai became an assistant designer at Issey Miyake from 1990-1995, where he would hone the vital skills of creating an innovative brand. In 1998, Kazuyuki Kumagai established the streetwear forward label ATTACHMENT. Focused on high-quality, in-house fabrics, and subtle design choices, the brand produces garments that stand out from its contemporaries. ATTACHMENT is dedicated to providing real clothes based on minimalistic design and sharp silhouettes that enhance the individuality of the wearer.
