‘Taboot’, a term coined by Yasuhiro, blending both taboo and bootleg ideas together to create garments sharing antithetical themes while paying homage to icons of the past. 
A nod to the iconic American hip hop group Beastie Boys, this long sleeve tee from Miharaysuhiro’s ‘Taboot’ line, in collaboration with fellow Japanese brand Studious features a ‘Three MC’s’ graphic screen-printed atop a 100% cotton t-shirt. As a commemorative ‘bootleg’, this piece pays homage to the group's Grammy award-winning song “Intergalactic”, specifically, the music video which was shot in Tokyo and acts as a parody of, or tribute to Japanese Kaiju films and Super Sentai shows. To make this piece even more special, Mihara Yasuhiro himself is the one posing in the graphic; probably one of the only times you will ever see the designer feature themselves on their own garments.
