Undercover Flared Cargo Pants – SS06

Undercover’s SS06 collection titled “T (To The Universe)” emphasizes the brand's extensive influence of Progressive Punk Rock and the Grunge aesthetic which has become quite popular in recent years. Jun Takahashi incorporated various imaginative German Punk bands such as “KLAUS” & “CHUUT!” within many of the pieces for this season. Takahashi’s raw style and unique innovation blossomed for this collection which is why many of the pieces are considered some of Jun’s best work with Undercover.

Here we have a pair of cargo pants from my favorite Undercover season – SS06! This piece is probably the most subtle of all the items from the collection as it features no Punk band graphics or gothic chains that SS06 is commonly known for – The garment's simplistic design was quite literally used to make some of the more extravagant pieces pop on the runway. While being a rather simple item with all things considered, this piece still features many stunning details such as an exposed button fly, several western-inspired cargo pockets, a flared silhouette, and Undercovers infamous lightning bolt motif sewn onto the left knee of the garment.
