Jun Takahashi’s SS06 collection with Undercover is heavily influenced by the German Progressive Rock movement of the late 1960s to early 1970s. This collection is filled with gothic headdresses, belts, and headpieces that are all made of chains which boasts Jun Takahashi's love for punk rock and the grunge aesthetic that Undercover is praised for. Takahashi said that his extended riff on t-shirts was about "taking something simple and limited, and seeing what you can do with it." He transformed various types of garments and pieced them together to make A-line dresses, hip-wrapped skirts, and more. The pieces within this collection are considered to be some of Takahashi’s best works thanks to his raw style & innovative, yet unique outlooks on breaking the common boundaries of fashion.
Here we have the only mesh piece from Undercover’s SS06 collection. This garment features the infamous KLAUS motif which is found amongst various garments from Takahashi’s SS06 runway pieces along the chest, with a MOOG synthesizer graphic on the back in a deep blue which creates an amazing contrast in color.
